Public consultation on the price review for the Unbundled Copper Local Loop and Unbundled Bitstream Access services for ComCom in New Zealand

By Denis Basque, Marc Lameloise, Robert Fouret, Jean Colas, Pauline Coquet and Alexandre Journo

The Commerce Commission in New Zealand has today released draft decisions for consultation setting proposed prices that Chorus the incumbent operator can charge for use of their local copper lines and broadband service.

The draft decision is based on a forward looking cost model developed by TERA Consultants, who has undertaken this type of modelling for a number of regulators and operators such as ComReg of Ireland or the DBA of Denmark.

The draft decisions and other papers by TERA Consultants for the Commerce Commission can be found on the regulator’s website or downloaded below.
