Workshop on methods for allocating costs to SNCF
On 24 June 2013, Laurent Benzoni and Olivier Salesse (Partners at TERA Consultants) led a workshop on best practices in cost calculation for competitive analysis. The workshop is part of the Laboratory on Transport Economics initiated by Department of Innovation and Research of the SNCF. The objective of the workshop was to present the latest economic methods for the cost allocation among products in diversified companies, in particular the updates on the calculation of the relevant costs and fair prices entailed by recent judgments of the ECJ of 12 March 2012 in the case of Post Danmark and the Court of Appeal of Paris of December 20, 2012 in the case of the Vendée speedboats.
