The article deals with the key role of Regulatory Authorities within the numeric transition transforming our societies. The authors highlight the need to refine appropriate policies and support laws that allow societies to seize the opportunities that new digital technologies offer. These changes can be a powerful driver of long-term growth, as long as authorities frame a more flexible regulation that integrates access to numeric contents in the regulation frame (from terminals to platforms) and matches users’ changing behavior: a challenge for regulators, a real economic opportunity.
